A history of success
Cheadle Cricket Club runs 4 senior mens’ teams which play on Saturdays and Sundays. The 1st XI, led by Josh Dooler, will start the 2022 season in the Cheshire County League 1st Division, having come down from a 6 year stay in the ECB Premier Division with eyes firmly fixed on an immediate return to Cheshire’s top division.
The 2nd XI won the 2nd XI Premier League in 2020 for the first time in our history! And look forward to competing in the Premier League again next season in what is a very good standard of cricket.
The 3rd XI, were joint winners of the 3rd XI 1st Division in 2020, with a team consisting mostly of Under 18s. The team finished 5th in the same division in 2021 and will be looking to push on in the 2022 season and try again for the title.
Following a surge in memberships in the 2021 season which saw the need for several friendly games to be arranged to facilitate game time for all available members, the formation of a 4th team has been confirmed for 2022 season! We also have a highly regarded Over 40s team who play short format fixtures on Wednesday evenings.
We are always on the lookout for new players at senior level, please feel free to get in touch with the cricket committee at cheadlecricketclub@gmail.com. Alternatively, search for Cheadle Cricket Club on Twitter or Facebook (@cheadle_cc).
